Using one’s hand when making istinja

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Please can you tell me if when a female uses the toilet for urine only then can she do istinja by pouring water on the private part only without using her hand? Also after istinja is done and then the water goes on your inner thigh or behind or when you get up then down your back leg or on your trouser, is this water pure? What about the water that drops from the vessel/pot (outside part) used for istinja that drops on your clothes?

Bismillaah

A: She should use her hand.

Don’t pay attention to this after taking the necessary precaution.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
