Carrying out aqeeqah for oneself when one is a adult

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If a parent did not do aqeeqah for a child because of poverty, the father being non-Muslim, then should this child make his own aqeeqah when he can afford to?

Bismillaah

A: It is permissible for him to do his aqeeqah later on during his life.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
