Forgetting to wash one’s hands in wudhu

Q: I washed my feet in wudhu and I went to wipe my limbs. At this point I realised I had forgotten to wash my hands so I went back to wash them without repeating the wudhu. Did I act correctly?

A: The wudhu is valid.
