Dyeing the hair or going to the dentist during iddat

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I’m sitting in iddah. May I please know whether I can dye my hair or go to a dentist?

Bismillaah

A:

1. Refrain from dying your hair while you are in iddat.

2. It is not permissible for a woman in the state of iddat to leave her home except under dire necessity. Hence if there is no real need, then you should not go. However if you are forced to go, then after finishing the treatment, you should immediately return to your home.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
