Encouraging one’s children to accept Islam

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I was a Hindu and have two daughters. I have married a Muslim man after accepting Islam but my daughters 14 and 12 years old have not accepted Islam. We are trying our best to make them understand and accept Islam. If they don’t accept Islam what should I do? Please let me know. Am I at fault? Does Islam say this that if children do not accept Islam then no relation should be kept with them?

Bismillaah

A: Your duty is to encourage them as much as you can with respect, love and kindness.

No.

No, you will be kind and courteous towards them.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
