Uttering statements of kufr

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If a wife in a fit of anger and depression says to her husband that Allah is with the rich and not with the poor. Disrespects the religion. But deep inside is fearful of Allah. Regrets what she said. Makes taubah. Reads namaz and quran as usual. Reads the salatu taubah namaz. Does this saying in anger make her a kaafir and nullify her marriage. Husband and wife are married for 8 years with 3 children.

Bismillaah

A: She must make taubah and cry to Allah Ta`ala and repeat the kalimah in abundance and promise that she will never utter these types of words again. Insha-Allah, Allah will accept her taubah.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
