The Ahlul Bait, Sahabah, etc

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Mahmoodiyah

Question:

Assalamualaikum!
Dear brother in Islam
I would like to know the following:
Who has the greatest rank in the eyes of Allah, the Ahle Bait or the Sahaba?
Please give me clarification on the following issues:
A scholar tells me that the Ahle Bait consists of five persons namely:
Rasoolullah (SAW); Bibi Fatima; Hazrat Ali; Imam Hussein And Imam Hasan.
Further he stated that there is no more Ahle Bait existed now, All those who claim to be so are false.
He also pointed out that generation of Ahle Bait ended as it is always sons that continue the process. That is why Allah Ta’ala has not bestowed Rasoolullah Saw a son ; if not people would claim that they are sayyad or Ahle Bait.
Another scholar told me a different version. The Ahle Bait consists of All the family of the Prophet. And that Hurous (Hurs) are organised for such Imam such as Imam Ja’far and Moulana as they are from the Ahle Bait . Those who do not perform Hurous for the Ahle Bait are wrong.
It is also stated that Hurous are not organised for the Sahabahs as they are ranked below the Ahle Bait.
Which scholar is speaking the truth? Please comment on this.

Can I have a list of all major sins that should be avoided? Again some scholar has stated 7 , other 40 other 70 , which number is right?

Is it true the end of the world will be in Friday and in the month of Muharram?

The Replacing Imam in our Masjid while making due in congregation ask Du’aa through Waseelah of Allah, Karbalah, Nabi And Darga. Is this permissible?

Is it true that when a person is going to die he/she knows this 40 days before?

Is Naat permissible to be read in a congregation? What the HADITH says about this?

Regards

Allah is the Wali (Protector, Guardian or Friend) of those who believe. He brings them out from darkness into light. (Surah Al-Baqarah: Verse 257)

And the foremost to embrace Islam of the Muhaajireen, (those who migrated from Makkah to Medina) and the Ansaar (the citizens of Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhaajireen) and also those who follow them exactly (in faith). Allah is well pleased with them as they are well pleased with Him. He has prepared for them gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success. (Surah At-Taubah: Verse 100)

Indeed, Allah was pleased with the believers when they gave the Bai’ah (pledge) to you (O, Muhammad SAW) under the tree: He knew what was in their hearts, and He sent down as-Sakinah (calmness and tranquillity) upon them, and He rewarded them with a near victory. (Surah 48 Al-Fath: Verse 18)

Muhammad (S.A.W) is the messenger of Allah. And those who are with him are severe against disbelievers and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrate (in prayer), seeking bounty from Allah and (His) good pleasure. The mark of them (i.e. of their faith) is on their faces (foreheads) from the traces of prostration (during prayers)… (Surah 48 Al-Fath; Verse 29)

In the above verses of the Qur’an, Allah has praised the Sahabah and expressed His pleasure with them. Similarly, the books of Hadith are full of their virtues e.g.

1) Follow Abu Bakr and Umar when I am no more with you.

2) My Sahabah are like (guiding) stars .Whomsoever you follow, you will be guided (on the right path).

3) Beware (of opening your tongue) in slighting my Sahabah. Do not make them the target of your calumny. Who loves them, loves them for his love for me, and who spites them spites them for his spite for me. Who annoys them annoys me, and who annoys me annoys Allah and Allah will very soon seize the person who annoys him. Nabi SAW said Allah Ta’ala has sifted from the entire creation aside from the Ambiyaa AS my companions, and he has distinguished from them, four, He has made Abu Bakr, Uthmaan, Umar and Ali the most honourable of them. This is the Aqeedah of the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa’ah.

Regarding the Ahlul Bait Allah Ta’ala mentions; Allah wishes only to remove Ar-Rijs (evil deeds and sins) from you, O members of the family (of the Prophet SAW) ,and purify you with a thorough purifications (Surah 33 verse 33). Nabi SAW ordered us to respect and honour the Ahle Bait and forbade us from harming them in any way. The meaning of Ahle Bait is all Nabi SAW’s wives and children.

There is no stipulated amount of major sins proven from Ahadeeth. The Qur’an and Hadith have established many sins as major sins. The Ulamaa have gathered them in different books according to their research. Some have said the amount to be 70, but this is not the final number. Among the famous major sins are; Shirk,   Disobedience to parents, to unjustly murder any human being, to give false testaments, to take a false oath, sorcery and black magic, to consume interest, to consume the wealth of the orphans, to commit adultery and fornication, to consume alcohol, to falsely accuse a chaste woman, to steal, to usurp, to rob, to hijack, to lie, to make false promises, to flee the war zone without a permissible reason, to kill ones child, to deceive regarding the spoils of war, to leave out Fardh Salaah intentionally, to earn unlawfully, to eat from unlawful earnings, not to distribute the deceased’s estate, to harm any human being or animal, etc.

It has been narrated in some weak narrations that the trumpet will be blown on a Friday, but this can not be confirmed.

We should pray in this way: “O Allah! Please accept this Du’aa through your virtues and through the Waseelah of Nabi SAW and the pious Muslims.”  Karbalah and Darga should not be mentioned.

It is not proven from Hadith that every person knows of his death forty days before he dies.

And Allah Ta’ala knows best
