Is the Food Halaal?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Mahmoodiyah

Question:

Assalamualaikum

Today my Manager invited me for lunch. We went to the Taj Palace in Mayfair, at the end of the lunch when the bill came he paid for the Lunch with his credit card.
I do not know if he will be paying interest on that transaction or not. Is the food that I have eaten Halaal? What can I do as Kaffaarah for my actions?

I have read on ASK-IMAM.com that its not permissible to have a facility in your business that accommodates credit card payments, so what about our Halaal restaurants that allow these payments can we still eat at these outlets?

Shukran

Answer:

The food you ate at Taj Palace is Halaal. There is no need for any Kaffaarah even though the payment was made with a credit card.

The Mas’ala of  ASK-IMAM.com is of a different nature.

And Allah Ta’ala knows best
