Question: Q1-In Salaat after reading Surah Fatihah is it Sunnah to read Bismillah before reading a Surah or some verses from the Qur’an and what is the reference? Q2-When a Masbooq is standing up to complete the missed Rak’aats is it Sunnah to read Thanaa and what is the reference?

Question:

Q1-In Salaat after reading Surah Fatihah is it Sunnah to read Bismillah before reading a Surah or some verses from the Qur’an and what is the reference?

Q2-When a Masbooq is standing up to complete the missed Rak’aats is it Sunnah to read Thanaa and what is the reference?


Answer:

 

 

  1. It is not Sunnah in Salaah to recite Bismillah after Surah Fatihah before reciting a Surah or some verse from the Qur’an but it is better to read the Bismillah.  (Raddul Muhtaar, Vol. 1, Page 362, Ahsanul Fataawaa, Vol. 3, Page 74)

  1. It is Sunnah to read the Thanaa when a Masbooq standing to perform the missed Rak’aat.  (Raddul Muhtaar, Vol. 1, Page 362 and 441, Fataawaa Rahimiyyah, Vol. 8, Page 103)
