Is speaking ill of the Companions of the Prophet considered disrespectful to Islam?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Jamia Binoria
ASSALAMU ALAIKUM WA RAHMATHULLAHI WA BARAKATHUHU

I have been seeing a lot of shia scholars speaking in an irrelevant manner against the Khulafa e Rashideen (rightly guided Caliphs). I am unable to tolerate any sought of impudence against the Companions of the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam. My question is, if someone speaks about the Companions of the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam in such an ill-mannered way is he deserved to be called a Muslim? Or, is it necessary for him to repeat the Kalima Shahada? Because a true Muslim is the one who honors the Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, his Companions, the Tabi’een (the direct followers of the Companions of the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam), and the Tab’ut Tabi’een (direct followers of Tabi’een) and never speaks ill-mannerly against them. The second thing I want to know is that shia scholars say that Hazrat Umar (Radhiyallahu Anhu) set Hazrat Fatima’s(Radhiyallahu Anha) house on fire. This is why they speak in an ill-mannered way about Hazrat Umar (Radhiyallahu Anhu). Please guide me and inform me how truthful is their claim.

الجواب حامدا و مصلیا

Any shi’ah who behaves or speaks in an impudent and offending manner about the rightly guided Caliphs or other companions of the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, is a transgressor and he is indeed misguided. But he does not become a disbeliever due to his impudence as long as he doesn’t have any doctrine that makes him a disbeliever. However, if he does have such doctrines then he is indeed a disbeliever and is out of the fold of Islam.
The questioner did not provide any reference to what was mentioned about Hazrat Umar Radhiyallahu Anhu. If the questioner resends his question via email with reference to the mentioned claim, an answer in this regard also will be sent Insha Allah.
Allah knows best.
