Doing Masah (wiping) over normal Nylon or Cotton socks

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Jamia Binoria

The Imam in the Musallah that I need to go for my Friday Prayer does Mashha on his ordinary socks. I do not have any other Mosque nearby to go for my Friday prayer. What should I do in this case? should I keep praying Friday Prayer behind him or should I do my Zuhr prayer instead? Please note that I will not be able to go to any other Mosque for my Friday prayer.

If the concerned Imam is doing Masah (wiping) over normal Nylon or Cotton socks and are really of not leather or no leather is affixed around it, then in is such a situation it is necessary to refrain from performing Jumma Namaz or any other Namaz following him. In this circumstance the questioner should make arrangements to perform Jumma Namaz in some other Masjid.
