Children whose parents are Sahib e Nisab are not entitled to receive Zakat

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Jamia Binoria

Most respected Hazrath Mufthi Sahib, Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmathullahi wa Barakathuhu!
Some confusions are mentioned herewith and hope the reply would be sent as soon as possible. May Allah enlighten the entire world through your wisdom and make it a Sadaqa e Jari’a for you……aameen!
Is each boy, adult or minor entitled for Zakath? (Can they be fed in the Mess, through the aid of Zakath) Parents are not entitled while the children do not have money upto the Zakath limit since the money is with parents. Hope that you will broaden our mind in a sympathetic way at your earliest. May Allah reward you. Awaiting the reply.

الجواب حامدا و مصلیا

Those minor children whose parents are Sahib e Nisab are not entitled to receive Zakat whereas adult children who are not Sahib e Nisab and also those minor children whose fathers are not Sahib e Nisab are entitled to receive Zakat money.
Now, let it be cleared that if Zakath and non-Zakath funds are mixed in any Mess of a Madrasah it is permissible for all to eat from the Mess. Or else, if the matter is resent with whatever details, Insha Allah the Shar’i ruling on it could be informed according to the details.
