Kindly mention the source of this Hadith
ليس أحد أحب إليه العذر من الله
Answer:
Imam Muslim (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (radiyallahu ‘anhu).
The part in question is as follows:
Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reported that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “…There is no one who loves to [accept] excuses [i.e. Tawbah] more than Allah. It is for this reason that he sent Books and Messengers.”
