Durud Tunjina

The basis of this durud is a dream of Shaykh Salih Musa ad Darir (rahimahullah). You may recite this durud without deeming it to be sourced from Hadith. Many people have found this salutation to be effective.

Shaykh Salih Musa ad Darir (rahimahullah) was once on a boat that was about to sink. He fell asleep and saw Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) in a dream who instructed him to order those on the boat to recite this durud one thousand times. He awoke and informed those on the boat. They recited the durud approximately three hundred times and were saved.

The text of the salutation is as follows:

اللّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ صَلاةً تُنْجِيْنا بِهَا مِنْ جَمِيْعِ الْاَهْوَالِ والآفاتِ وتَقْضِىْ لَنا بِها جَمِيعَ الْحَاجَاتِ وتُطَهِّرُنا بِها مِن جَمِيْعِ السِّيِّآت وتَرْفَعُنا بِها عندك اعْلَى الدَّرَجَات وتُبَلِّغُنا بِها اقْصَى الْغَايَاتِ مِنْ جَمِيعِ الْخَيرَاتِ فِى الْحَياةِ وَبَعْدَ الْمَمَاتِ

Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin salatan tunjina biha min jami’il ahwali wal aafaati wa taqdi lana biha jami’al hajati wa tu tahhiruna biha min jami’is sayyi ati wa tarfa’una biha ‘indaka a’alad darajati watu ballighuna biha aqsal ghayati min jami’il khayrati fil hayati wa ba’dal mamat
