We read in our Salah ‘sami’allahu liman hamidah’

In which Hadith is it based, please could you supply us with the source of its authenticity.

Answer

There are several authentic Hadiths that prove this. Just one such Hadith is cited below.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu’anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) would recite the following when rising from the ruku’:

‘sami’allahu liman hamidah’

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 789 & Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 865)
