The angels would have defended Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) against Abu Jahl

Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) said:

“Abu Jahl said, ‘If I see Muhammad offering Salah by the Ka’bah, I will tread on his neck.’ When Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) heard of that he said, ‘If he were to do so, the angels will seize him.’”

Answer

Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration in his Sahih.

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 4958)
