Abu Talib’s punishment

Is there a narration which states that the uncle of Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), Abu Talib, will receive a punishment where the fire will be up to his ankles and his brains will boil [due to the severe heat]?

Answer

Yes, there is.

Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim (rahimahumallah) have recorded this narration on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Sa’id Al Khudri (radiyallahu ‘anhu).

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 3885 and Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 210)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
