Hadiths encouraging kindness and gentleness

Please provide the reference of the following Hadith.

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

‘If gentleness were to be profiled into a shape, people would never witness anything as attractive as that shape. On the contrary, if harshness were to be made into a form, people would never witness anything as disgusting as this form’

Answer

I have not come across a narration with the exact words as your question.

Imam Muslim (rahimahullah) has dedicated a chapter in his Sahih on the topic of adopting kindness/gentleness. The following narrations are from that chapter which encourage adopting gentleness:

1) Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

O ‘Aaishah, verily Allah is kind and loves kindness and confers upon kindness which he does not confer upon harshness..

2) Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

When kindness is found in anything, it beautifies it and when it is withdrawn from anything, it becomes defective.

3) Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

Whomsoever is deprived of kindness is in fact deprived of good.

(Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 6542,6544, 6545)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best
