The dua that is famous for wearing clothes is:
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي كَسَانِي مَا أُوَارِي بِهِ عَوْرَتِي، وَأَتَجَمَّلُ بِهِ فِي حَيَاتِي

The du’a that you quoted is recorded by Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) as the du’a for wearing new clothes. (Sunan Tirmidhi, hadith: 3560. Also see Targhib, vol.2 pg.93)

Du’a when wearing clothes on a daily basis
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي كَسَانِي هَذَا وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ
“Alhmadulillahil ladhy kasani hadha warazaqanihi min ghayri hawlim minni wala quwwah”
One who recites this when wearing clothes will have all his past (minor) sins forgiven.
