Is this Hadith authentic?
Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“Fasting on the day of ‘Aashura carries the reward of fasting for one year”
Answer:
Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (radiyallahu ‘anhu). He has declared the Hadith authentic.
