Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) would choose the easier option as long as it did not entail sin

Is this Hadith authentic?

Sayyidah ‘Aaishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) said: If there were two alternatives Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) would adopt the easiest, provided there was no sin in it. If it was a wrong action, he was the furthest of people from it. Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) did not take revenge for himself in respect of anything unless it violated the sanctity of Allah, then he would take revenge for the sake of Allah.”

Answer

Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim (rahimahumallah) have recorded this Hadith. The Hadith is therefore authentic.

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 3560-6126 and Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 2327)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
