Answer

Imam Abu Bakr Ibn Abid Dunya (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration as the statement of Yunus ibn ‘Ubayd (rahimahullah), a Tabi’i.

(Dhammul Kadhib, Hadith: 64)

Translation

It is hoped that a person will someday abandon all [evil] habits except for a liar. [For this habit is difficult to abandon]

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
