Answer

Sayyiduna Abu Waqid al Laythi (radiyallahu ‘anhu) narrates:

‘While Rasulullah (sallallahu ’alayhi wa sallam) was sitting in the masjid with some people, three men arrived. Two appeared before Rasulullah (sallallahu ’alayhi wa sallam) whilst one left. They remained by [the gathering of] Rasulullah (sallallahu ’alayhi wa sallam), then one of them saw a gap in the gathering and sat there, as for the second he sat at the back of the gathering and as for the third he turned and left. When Rasulullah (sallallahu ’alayhi wa sallam) finished he said: “Shall I inform you about the three people? The first attached himself to Allah so Allah accommodated him [with His happiness and mercy], as for the other he felt shy so Allah treated him accordingly [by not depriving him, or holding him accountable] and as for the last he turned away so Allah turned away from him.”

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 66)
