Is the following Hadith authentic?
Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said,
“Whoever among you sees something in himself or his brother, [of some possession/wealth] that he likes, let him make du’a for blessing [barakah] for it, because the evil eye is real.”
Answer:
Imam Hakim (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration on the authority of Sayyiduna ‘Amir ibn Rabi’ah (radiyallahu ‘anhu). He has declared the Hadith authentic and Hafiz Dhahabi concurs.
