Reciting 10 verses of Surah Baqarah

Answered according to Hanafi Fiqh by

I have heard that one who recites ten verses of Surah Baqarah, will not forget the Quran.

1. Is this authentic?

2. When should this be recited and how many times?

There are several benefits recorded for one who recites a particular set of ten verses of Surah Baqarah. These are authentically recorded as the statement of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (radiyallahu’anhu).

Among those benefits is that one will never forget the Quran, if these verses are recited once before sleeping every night.

See here for the full details of this narration.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best,
