Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa salam) was given various verses of the Quran in place of the Scriptures of the past

Is the following Hadith authentic?

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“I was given in place of the Tawrah the Sab’ [at Tiwal], I was given in place of the Zabur the Surahs which have approximately 100 verses, I was given in place of the Injil the Mathani and I was given virtue and preference with the Mufassal Surahs.”

Answer:

Imam Ahmad (rahimahullah) and other Muhaddithun have recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Wathilah ibn Al Asqa’ (radiyallahu ‘anhu) with a sound chain.
