Is it true that flies would never go on the body of Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)

Is this true?

‘Flies never stood on the body of Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)’

Answer

The Scholars who have authored books on the special characteristics of Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) have mentioned that flies would not come upon Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and lice would not affect/harm him.

(Ghayatus Sul Fi Khasaisir Rasul, pg. 303, Al Khasaisul Kubra of ‘Allamah Suyuti, vol. 1 pg. 123)

However, there does exist a difference of opinion on this from other authors on this subject.

Refer to: Al Lafzul Mukarram Bi Khasaisin Nabiyyi sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, vol. 2 pg. 220, Musnad Ahmad, vol. 6 pg. 256, Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 5675.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
