Can one do Namaz (Salat) with Wudu sitting in an airplane travelling opposite direction?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Fatwa.org.au
Can one do Namaz (Salat) with Wudu sitting in an airplane travelling opposite direction?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

When travelling on an airplane and the time of namaz approaches, you should inform the airplane crew that you have to offer your prayer and you need some space. They will be more than happy to take you to the back of the plane or to another area where there is space to offer namaz. You should offer namaz in that space standing up and facing the Qibla. You can seek the help of the crew to determine the direction of the Qibla. Offering the namaz sitting on the chair and not facing the Qibla will not be permissible. If someone did offer his namaz in such a way, he should repeat it.

And Allah knows best.
