Q: Assalaamu Alaikum,
Can a Janaza be performed at anything time of the day or night e.g. 2 am?
Wa Alaikum Assalaam,
A: Yes, it can be performed at any time during the day or night besides the Makrooh times for salaah during (the day). It is Makrooh Tahreemi to perform salaah at three timings:
- When the sun is rising 2. When it is setting 3. When the sun is in its meridian.
It will be Makrooh Tahreemi (detested to a great extent) to perform salah of Janaza at these timings. Besides these timings, it can be performed at all other times during the day or night.
