Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulihsan.com

Q: Is it permissible to consume medication that contains alchohol?

A:

If there is alternate alcohol-free medication available then it will not be permissible to consume medication that has alcohol. However, if there is no such substitute available, it will be permissible to take the medication in accordance with the necessity.
