Cross Like Sign On Clothing

Question:

Does the above comes into saleeb (cross) hukm?

Its printed in a trouser

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In principle, any symbol/sign which has Christian origins and connotations is strictly forbidden.

From our understanding, the above is an anchored cross and thus impermissible to wear.

Anchor

Christians adopted the anchor as a symbol of hope in future existence because the anchor was regarded in ancient times as a symbol of safety.

The anchored cross, or mariner’s cross, is a stylized cross in the shape of an anchor. It is a symbol which is shaped like a plus sign with anchor-like protrusions at the end of each arm, hence the name. The symbol can be used to signify ‘fresh start’ or ‘hope’, as in The Bible, Hebrews 6.19: “Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil”.
