Question

Mufti Sahib, my question is that after intercourse in the night if a woman performs ghusl in the morning and offers prayer then after some time she again experience semen discharging what should she do? Ghusl has to be performed again or not.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer

If some semen of the woman came out of her private part after having performed the ghusl, then she does not have to repeat the ghusl as long as there was an interval of sleeping, or urinating, or walking for forty steps. She will wash the area and make wudhu and perform the Salah.

If there was not an interval of sleeping or nor did she urinate or walk for forty steps and her semen came out, then the ghusl will have to be repeated.

However, it should be borne in mind that the aforementioned ruling is based on if the woman’s own semen came out. If the husband’s semen came out then there is no need to repeat the ghusl. (Raddul Muhtar p.456 v.1)
