Question

Does taking off Ihram without Umrah necessitate Dam?

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Taking off ihram and wearing stitched clothing for an entire day will necessitate an animal sacrifice, Dam. If it was less than a day, then half a ṣā’ of wheat or barely [about approx. 1.5 liters or 1.5 kilograms] should be given in charity or the equal amount in money [about $2.50 as of Feb 2020].[1]
