Question

Does a woman have to make pardah in front of her father’s first cousin brother?

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Yes, a woman has to make purdah in front of her father’s first cousin. The principle is that if a woman can marry a man then she has to do purdah from him.[1] If it was your father’s actual brother then you wouldn’t have to make purdah in front of him.
