Question

Assalamualaykum

Mufti saab, I heard that pig DNA is used in growing poultry chicken, is it true? And if that’s the case, can we still consume that chicken?

We did not come across any legitimate case like this from our research. Please send any original source you may have. It is important for me to understand the exact procedure to determine the ruling. Nevertheless, if such a case is true, and the chicken meat is contaminated with any part of pig, it will not be permissible to consume such chicken meat.[1]
