Question:

After how many days was the Janazah of the Prophet (saw) read?

Answer:

In The Name Of Allah, The Most-Merciful, The Most Kind

The Prophet (peace be upon him) passed away on Monday, on Tuesday the people began to prepare his body for burial by washing and enshrouding the Prophet (peace be upon him) in a kafan. That was all taken care of on that day.

The Janazah prayer took place on the same day, Tuesday, however, it was not the conventional type whereby an Imam would lead everyone in one prayer. People would come in groups and pray on the Prophet (peace be upon him) without an Imam.[1]
