Question:

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah

In Islam (Nikkah), does the bride recite any prayers or read from the Quran?

Answer:

بسماللهالرحمنالرحيم

In The Name Of Allah, The Most-Merciful, The Most Kind

Nikah is the Islamic marriage system where the bride and groom come together in a relationship which is beloved to Allah.

A Nikah is performed with a proposal by the male/female and acceptance by the male/female in the presence of two Muslim witnesses (Qudoori, Vol:1 Page: 145)

Based on the ruling above the bride will not need to recite any prayers or read from the Quran for the nikah to be conducted.

Only Allah knows best
