Question:

And it is not the Shayatin who have brought it down. Neither would it suit them nor they can. Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it.) (26:210-212) What does Allah mean by they have been removed far from hearing it?

Answer:

Bismillah

The Verse that you are referring to is towards the end of the 26th surah of the Quran which is called Surah AsShu’ara (The Poets).

In the previous verses Allah explains that the Quran was sent down by Angel Jibreel onto the heart of the Prophet Muhammad ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) in the Arabic language (26:192-5).

And then it explains that the devils from the jinn were not the ones who brought down this revelation. This revelation comes from the heavens, and the speech of the heavens is not disclosed to the devils. In this verse of Surah Shu’ara it mentions that the devils have been blocked from hearing the news of the heavens. So at the time when the Quran was revealed the devils were not able to hear the revelation. (See Tafisr Ibn Katheer p.48 v.4)
