Assalamualekum wrb. I need to know whether artificial medical method (like “in vetro fertilization” using husband sperm and fertilizing with wife’s eggs outside the womb) to make wife pregnant is acceptable in Islam or not when other means of reproduction is failed.

Cloning test tube is against nature. Fertilizing the sperm of husband with the eggs of wife outside womb is allowable only in cases of exigency and severe need. The child born out of it shall be legitimate.
