ASAK, im getting married insha allah in this year, so i want to know about the mehr, when do i need to pay the mehr after nikah, which is the best earliest time? and also i want to know that is their any minimum amount for Indian groom on average to be fix as mehr. jazak allah.

It is better to pay off the mahr at first night and get free of the responsibility. The least amount of mahr is 10 dirham which is around 31 gm silver as per the prevalent weight. Marrying with mahr less than it is not right.
However, you can fix any amount more than this which you prefer mutually as per the status of wife and husband, but fixing mahr to an unaffordable height is not good.
