What restrictions, if any, are there for reciting dua during periods?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
At the time of periods they say that we should not even say any Arabic word or dua which we say commonly or touch any books related? is it like that or we can recite any particular dua or any restriction for any duas?

Answer

(Fatwa: 123/123/M=1431)

In the state of menses, it is only prohibited to touch the Quran and to recite it, but she can recite the duas mentioned in the Quran with the intention of dua as she can recite other duas and durood. She can touch the books of dua etc, only she will not touch the places where the Quranic verses are written.
