assalmoaliakum, i belong to ansari community and i want to marry a girl from syed community, my mother consulted one maulvi saheb in gorakhpur, he said if a ansari boy marries asyed girl then “gurbat” garibi will come in boys family or life, please tell me is this true or what are the condition of marrying a syed girl,i wlll be very thankful to you, please help me out. allah hafiz

It is not known from where Molvi sahib told this. It has no reality in Islamic religion. Ansari and Sayyed can marry each other. In the question mentioned above if your parents and the parents of girl are agreed and between both of you (boy and girl) there is no reason which makes nikah unlawful i.e. fosterage (raza?at) etc, then both of you can marry each other.
