(1) Is it permissible for a wife to stand two steps back during Salah if husband and wife are in the same room? (2) Is masah on the back of the neck a bid’ah? (3) Is surrogacy

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
(1) If the husband and wife are offering “Salah” in the same room at the same time, is it admissible if the wife stands at two steps backward at Hayya Alal Falah on the side of husband? (2) Whether doing masah on back side of neck is bida’h while performing ablution (wudhu). (3) Whether it is permissible to get child by surrogate mother for childless couples. If yes, under what circumstances?

Answer

(Fatwa: 1026/859/B=1432)

(1) Yes, both the husband and wife can offer salah in the same room in the same time but both of them should not stand side by side rather they should stand with some gap. There should be the gap of more than two steps.
(2) No, it is not bida’h rather it is mustahab.
(3) It is not lawful. It is haram.
