Who are Mehdis or Mehdevis? Are the two same? If yes, then a person named Mehdi can be Mehdevi or Mehdi? Please send a detailed answer in about the above mentioned sects/sect?

(1) Muhammad Jaunpuri professed to be Mahdi. His beliefs were against the holy Quran and hadith. He is termed as kafir and apostate. His followers are called Mahdavi and his group is known as Mahdaviya sect.
