What is the significance of saying ‘InshaAllah’?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I want to know in detail about the practice of saying ‘inshaallah’. Is it sunnah or compulsory, is there any punishment reported for not saying it, when have we been instructed to say it?

Answer

(Fatwa: 419/412=M)

It is Mustahab (desirable) to say in-sha-Allah (If Allah wills) when someone intends or plans to do something in future, but it is not Wajib; therefore if anyone does not do so he will not be labelled as sinner.
