According to the reliable opinion, the circumcision of girl is not sunnah, for it is not proved from authentic hadith.
قال يحيى بن معين: إن حديث ختان المرأة روي من أوحه كثيرة و كلها ضعيفة معلولة مخدوشة لا يصح الاحتجاج بها اهـ . (عون المعبود شرح سنن ابى داؤد) .
