Answer

(Fatwa: 272/272/M=1432)

One has rights towards one’s wife as well as parents, but the rights of parents are more than the rights of wife. Husband is responsible to pay the rights of both. It is not right to behave someone in a way that the rights of other are infringed upon. The demand of wife to the husband to sever relations with his parents is wrong. The wife should provide her husband chance to serve his parents and she should not make him sinful.
