(1) Are there any basic conditions for Hajj/Umrah basal? Zaid’s father is very old. He wants to send his grandson for Umrah. Somebody said that he has to recite Holy Quran twice in Makkah, so that his Umrah is accepted. Kindly do suggest if there are any conditions like this.

(1) It is not mandatory to read complete Quran twice in Makkah in order to validate the Umrah, whosever said it is wrong.
(2) If the journey is of 77.25 km or more then it is mandatory to offer qasr salah in case one intends to stay less than fifteen days.
