We have decided to recite Surah Baqarah in our house. I would like to know whether surah Baqarah be recited for 40 days or 41 days? Does the number of days depends on the purpose of reciting? We are getting done this for the purpose of peace, removal of ill things and for progress.

If you recite it sincerely, it shall work whether you recite it for forty days or daily or occasionally. Hadith speaks in common that no jinn and Satan will ever enter into a house where Surah Baqarah is recited.
