Is wudhu required for touching hadith, fiqh and Islamic books?

(Fatwa: 902/926/L=07/1436)

Wudhu is not required for touching Fiqh and Islamic books. However it is better to touch in the state of wudhu. Wudhu is mandatory to touch the holy Quran only.
ويكره أيضاً للمحدث ونحوه مس تفسير القرآن وكتب الفقه وكذا كتب السنن الى قوله والأصح أنه لا يكره عند أبى حنيفة رحمه الله (كبرى: 52)
